When can I expect delivery?

Delivery of your custom-made order is at the very heart of our service to ensure that your order arrives in the same condition it leaves my workshop.

Our trusted private courier will be provided with your details and will contact you directly to let you know a delivery date and more importantly a time-frame. This process is a well trodden path and works perfectly well. We have used this courier company for a few years and they are above excellent and super helpful.

Delivery is available to anywhere within mainland UK and including Northern Ireland.

What is your time-frame like - How long does it take to make my order?

Usually the creation of your order doesn't take too long, but please note that all pieces I create are created from scratch and to your required dimensions, specifications and finish colour. They are also created exclusively in the order of when they're received. This ensures a timely creation, collection and delivery of your order, with the minimum of delay.

Lead times vary depending on our order schedule and the size of the project. We will provide an estimated completion timeframe when you place your order.

I also work on my own in a medium sized workshop, so sometimes it may take longer to create your order, but in all cases I do/will keep the customer informed of my progress throughout and welcome questions.

Is my data and information secure?

I can assure you all that the information received during the course of our transaction together is treated securely and carefully.
An advocate of GDPR you can rest assured of your data and information is totally secure.

Orders & Custom Work

Do you make everything to order?
Yes. Every piece is handmade to order in our workshop. We do not mass-produce, which means your furniture is crafted specifically for you.

Can I have furniture made to my own measurements?
Absolutely. Most of our pieces can be made to your exact dimensions to ensure a perfect fit for your space.

Can I choose the colour or finish?
Yes — we offer a range of paint and wood finish options. Colour choices are usually confirmed closer to completion so you have time to decide.

Will my item look exactly like the photos?
The design will be the same, but timber is a natural material. Grain, knots, and texture will vary, making every piece unique.

Will my furniture arrive assembled?
Smaller items usually arrive fully assembled. Larger pieces may be delivered in sections for safe transport and easier access into your home. Simple assembly instructions and fixings are provided.

What type of wood do you use?
We mainly use reclaimed and sustainably sourced timber. This gives each piece character, strength, and a reduced environmental impact.

How strong is the furniture?
All items are built using solid construction methods and reinforced framing where needed, making them suitable for everyday use.

Are storage benches sturdy enough to sit on daily?
Yes — they are specifically designed for regular seating as well as storage.

Pricing & Payments

Why is handmade furniture more expensive than flat-pack?

Our pieces are made from solid materials, built by hand, customised to your space, and designed to last for many years — unlike mass-produced alternatives.

Do you offer discounts on multiple items?
If you’re ordering matching pieces (for example a table and bench), we can often provide a combined price.

Care & Use

How do I look after my furniture?
Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners. We can give specific care advice based on your chosen finish.

Can wooden furniture go near radiators or fires?
We recommend keeping furniture away from direct heat sources, as wood naturally expands and contracts with temperature changes.

Can your furniture be used outdoors?
Unless specifically stated, our furniture is designed for indoor use only.

Sustainability

Is reclaimed wood durable?
Yes. Reclaimed timber is carefully prepared and is often denser and more stable than newly cut wood.

Is reclaimed wood environmentally friendly?
Yes — it reduces waste and lowers demand for newly felled trees while giving beautiful timber a second life.

Returns & Changes

Can I return a bespoke item?
Because each piece is made to your specifications, bespoke items are non-returnable unless faulty.

What if my item is damaged during delivery?
Contact us immediately with photos and we will resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Can I make changes after ordering?
Changes may be possible early in the build process. The sooner you contact us, the more likely we can adjust your order.
