Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Andy’s Wooden Wonders® We specialise in creating unique, handcrafted rustic wooden furniture. These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between you, the customer, and us, Andy’s Wooden Wonders®, regarding all sales of our furniture.

By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Orders

1.1. Custom Nature of Products: All our furniture is handmade. Due to the natural variations in wood, each piece is unique and may differ slightly in colour, grain, and finish from any photos or samples you have seen. We will do our best to match your specifications, but we cannot guarantee an exact replica.

1.2. Order Confirmation: After you place an order, we will send you an email confirming the details of your purchase. This email constitutes our acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract between us.

1.3. Lead Times: All our furniture is made to order. The estimated lead time for your order will be provided at the time of purchase. While we make every effort to meet these deadlines, they are estimates and may vary. We will notify you of any significant delays and will keep you informed of the progress of your orders.
All commissions are created in the order of when they’re received.

2. Payment

Local to Hampshire/Self collection

2.1. Payment Terms: A deposit of 50% is required to secure your order and for us to begin work on your furniture. The remaining 50% balance is due upon its local delivery to you or when you collect your order.

Nationwide Deliveries

2.1.1 Payment Terms – Full price at point of purchase, via our website – www.andyswoodenwonders.uk

2.1.2 From time-to-time Andy’s Wooden Wonders® will run promotions and sales. A website pop-up will feature a discount code. This code cannot be used retrospectively once a sale is accepted.

2.2. Payment Methods: We accept payment via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or other agreed-upon methods, or via our website.

3. Delivery and Shipping

3.1. Delivery Service: We use a private courier service to deliver our furniture throughout the UK. The cost of delivery will be calculated and added to your total at the time of purchase.

3.2. Customer Responsibilities: It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address is accurate and that there is adequate access for our courier to deliver the furniture. This includes checking door frames, hallways, and staircases to ensure the item will fit. If a delivery fails due to lack of access or an incorrect address, you may be charged for a redelivery.

3.3. Delivery Schedule: The courier will contact you directly to inform you of when they intend to deliver your order. This courier service used is a dedicated delivery service, not a mainstream multi-drop service. It is your responsibility to be available to accept the delivery.

3.4. Inspection Upon Delivery: You must inspect the furniture upon delivery and before the courier leaves. Please take photos of any visible damage to the packaging or the furniture itself and report it to the courier and us immediately. By signing for the delivery, you are acknowledging that the item has been received in good condition.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

4.1. Cancellation Policy: Orders can be cancelled within 7 days of the order confirmation for a full refund of your deposit. After this period, any deposit paid is non-refundable, similarly if full payment has been made, then the refund will be made minus the cost of any materials which has been ordered, to prevent out-of-pocket expenses.

4.2. Damaged or Defective Items: In the unlikely event that your furniture is delivered with a manufacturing defect or is significantly damaged, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery. We will then arrange for the repair, replacement, or a refund as appropriate.

5. Liability

5.1. Our Liability: We will not be liable for any damage or loss caused by your failure to follow our care instructions or for any misuse of the furniture.

5.2. Wood Care: As a natural product, wood can be affected by changes in temperature and humidity. We are not responsible for natural movement, cracking, or splitting that may occur over time. We will provide care instructions with your furniture, and it is your responsibility to follow them.

6. General

6.1. Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

6.2. Contact Information: If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at andy@andyswoodenwonders.uk or 07730985696

6.3. Intellectual property: Any/all designs and images created by Andy’s Wooden Wonders® remain the Intellectual property of the business and as such any unauthorised use will result in legal action being taken.

Thank you for choosing Andy’s Wooden Wonders® !

Returns Policy

  • Due to the nature of these custom, bespoke and hand-made to-order products, returns will not be accepted, however please contact me if you're unhappy with your product, also please bear-in-mind, that most pieces are made from reclaimed/re-purposed timber and as such may not be 100% perfect (may have minor defects). If in any doubt, please message prior to purchase.
  • Consumer Right Act 2015

Social Conduct

  •   Due to a few incidents of receiving rude behaviour and ignorance, it has been necessary to implement social conduct. Rude behaviour will NOT be tolerated. Instances of rude behaviour or being ignored will result in a refund being given without explanation and where possible blocked from further correspondence.

Item Specific - Terms & Conditions.

  • Monks Bench & Storage Boxes - Unless specifically requested, the base and insides of these pieces are not normally painted/stained. This is due to not being held liable for any transference of paint/colour onto your belongings.
  • The rear of the product (e.g. back panel) will be sanded using low grit sanding sheet (80 grit) and will only have one coat of colour applied, as this is usually not in plain view (e.g. up against your wall). if however the rear of your product is going to be on show, please let me know so I can make the necessary adjustments/provisions.

  • Cupboards/Monks benches are created to your required dimensions, however please note that the actual measurements may differ by a small amount to enable correct assembly/installation of the product, especially important for products like the "Rebecca" where as from experience, walls are rarely level/straight. I assume you'd rather have a product very slightly short, than too large for the space.

  • Corner Monks Bench (The Fiona)/Seating-Storage boxes (The Jessica) - Due to the size of these pieces against the size of your standard doors, these will be sent in 2 packages and will require an small element of self-assembly upon delivery to adjoin them together. Fixings will be supplied. Self-assembly is straight forward and should take no longer than around 5 mins. I have produced a short video, which demonstrates how to adjoin these pieces together. Demonstration Video Link

  • Splinters - As with all wood, especially reclaimed/repurposed wood, there may be splinters. Every care and effort will be afforded to prevent this, but as you can imagine, it would be totally impossible to prevent splinters altogether.

  • SAP - (Tree resin) Sap is like the blood of the wood. It is usually thick, sticky and does reside within solid wood. Reclaimed wood will have SAP present and therefore, every effort will be afforded to prevent SAP leakage, from completed solid wood pieces, however I would be unable to guarantee that there would be no SAP leakage from my hand-made products.

  • Colour - All wood will take the colour differently and therefore I will try my utmost best to replicate the colours on the images contained within my website and social media pages, however please note that an exact match may not be achievable, although every effort will be made to replicate the colour shown.

  • SAWDUST - All products are created in a wood-work shop and as such this is a dusty environment. Every effort will be afforded to package your product dust-free, but it might be impossible to eliminate every bit of dust. Your product may require a little wipe-down upon its delivery.

  • Paint Gaps - Every effort is made to apply paint and/or wood-dye to your product, however in certain conditions the wood will move and as such paint gaps may appear. This is impossible to eliminate all-together.

  • Knots - Knots are prevalent in all natural wood. Andy's Wooden Wonders® uses solid wood and as such, some of the timber used will display knots/missing knots. This is totally natural and not a manufacturing defect and in most cases "becomes a feature". It would be impossible and impractical to produce custom furniture using solid wood which negates knots/missing knots and any of the above listed points.

  • Eleanor & Farmhouse style Dining Tables - Due to the nature of the wood used to create these custom and bespoke dining tables, which is soft wood, joinery grade timber. The wood may move. Every effort is afforded to reduce this risk, however again, due to the nature of wood this is impossible to eliminate altogether.
